Here you can use PHOX to extract virtual X-ray observations from the Magneticum cosmological hydro simulation. See Biffi et al. 2012 and Biffi et al. 2013 for details on the code. This service is currently a prototype for Box2/hr and Box2b:hr and more simulations will be made available for virtual observation with time. This service actually executes unit_2 on our server, therefore, please log in or Register an account if you do not have one yet. See Credits how to acknowledge for this service.
Here you can use SMAC to create your own maps of various, physical quantities for galaxy clusters from the Magneticum cosmological hydro simulation. See Dolag et al. 2005 for details of the code. It allows you to produce idealized maps of various quantities (like X-Ray, temperature, SZ, etc.) and receive a fits file image. This service is currently a prototype for Box2/hr and Box2b:hr and more simulations will be made available for map making with time. This service actually executes programs on our server, therefore, please log in or Register an account if you do not have one yet. See Credits how to acknowledge for this service.
Here you can use SimCut to extract a Gadget (format=2) snapshot file containgn regions centered on galaxy clusters from the Magneticum cosmological hydro simulation. These shapshots will contain all original particle properties from the simulations. This service is currently a prototype for Box2/hr and Box2b:hr and more simulations will be made available for cut outs with time. This service actually executes programs on our server, therefore, please log in or Register an account if you do not have one yet. See Credits how to acknowledge for this service.
Here you can use database queries to search clusters from the Magneticum cosmological hydro simulation based on their global properties. This service additionally allows you to download the data tables or to interactively produce simple scaling plots and pre-select cluster of interest to be used within the other services. See Ragagnin et al. 2017 for details of the code. Therefore, please log in or Register an account if you do not have one yet. See Credits how to acknowledge for this service.
Here you can use database queries to search satellite galaxies from the Magneticum cosmological hydro simulation based on their global properties. The HaloConversion tool converts masses, together with the respective concentration values, between overdensities for a given set of cosmological paramters. The cosmology-dependent mass-concentration (Mc) and mass-mass (MM) relations are taken from from Magneticum hydrodynamic simulations as conversion relations presented in Ragagnin et al. (2021). See the library https://github.com/aragagnin/hydro_mc to use these relations in your own code.
